Ending relief duty because applicant intentionally homeless from relief duty accommodation / priority need / s.190 duty owed

A letter for notifying a homeless applicant that the s.189B relief duty has ended because they have become intentionally homeless from accommodation that was made available as a result of the authority exercising its functions under s.189B(2).

This particular letter is for when:

  • the applicant is occupying s.188 interim accommodation, and
  • you have decided the applicant has a priority need

and therefore

  • duties are owed to the applicant under section 190 of the Housing Act 1996.
