This document shows how Part 2 of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 (homelessness) will read, when the provisions contained in the Homelessness and Social Housing Allocation (Wales) Act 2026 are brought into force.

Chapter 1 sets out the duty on local housing authorities to carry out a strategic review of homelessness, and implement a strategy every four years.

Chapter 2 contains the rules governing the safety net for homeless persons in Wales, which is administered by local housing authorities.
