Homelessness application on affordability grounds & request for financial assistance
A letter that housing advisors in Wales can use to:
- Assert that a client's accommodation is not affordable.
- Request that a homelessness application is taken, and assessment carried out under section 62 of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014.
- Request that financial assistance is provided.
- Request confirmation of what objective measure the council is using to assess affordability (as per Samuels v Birmingham CC [2019] UKSC 28).
